Claiming That Beauty Sleep
According to Swedish researchers , getting your beauty rest isn’t just a lie . There is an essential tie between the hours of sleep you get, and your “beauty”. Those who are stay up too late appear less healthy , more tired , and less “beautiful” than those who have claimed a full-night’s worth of rest. “Why is Sleeping Beauty so beautiful? Is it because she sleeps a lot?” When Swedish researcher John Axelsson was asked this question by his daughter, he decided he had to do a study. This study, and many other studies have discovered very startling bonds between a lack of sleep and many health struggles. Through time, there have been numerous studies linking lack of sleep to depression, Alzheimer’s disease, and surprisingly, weight gain . A study in 2008 brought to light that 50 to 70 million Americans struggle with this fast growing plague of sleep loss or sleep disorders. The more frightening statistic is that the number of people averaging six hours of sleep or less is increasing . With that said, why don’t people get more sleep?
